I dropped Daughter No. 2 off at school early this morning for an extra choir practice. She's happy! Woo Hoo! Spring is slowly creeping into the Cincinnati area, finally, and tomorrow is supposed to be close to 70 degrees!

This morning I ran in the Heart Mini Marathon in Cincinnati. Can you see me? I'm somewhere in the back, the one with the hat on! Final time for this 15K was 1:17:21. The winner did it in about 49 minutes!

The tallest building in Cincinnati is the Carew Tower. After registering for the Heart Mini Marathon which takes place tomorrow AM, we took an elevator ride to the observation deck of this historic building. My daughters leaped from the observation deck onto the PNC tower to pose. They are so brave and I was quite proud! Fearless!

I pass this field on the way to work every morning while heading down Clough Pike. This time of year, the grass is golden and really brightens up the morning when the sun hits it. I had to take the shot while driving, hence the slight blur. The shot is cropped pretty tight and tweaked in photoshop. Here is the original showing the cropped area...

Sorry, no photo from today. Time just slipped away. This photo was taken last summer at our family cottage in Cedarville, Michigan, about 11 hours north of Cincinnati. In fact, this was the last evening shot I took before we headed back home.

Like the tree photo from the other day, I took this shot from the car on the way home. I wasn't sure what it looked like when I took it, and after I snapped the shutter the camera battery went dead. This is the result. Kind of an eerie, though calm photo I think. Anyway, the battery is now charging as we speak.
Regarding the camera I use, it's a Canon EOS 10D digital which is really nice. I've gotten in the habit of keeping it with me daily, which is exactly what I was hoping to accomplish with this photo of the day thing. I process the images in Potoshop CS2.
School update: I met with my advisor today concerning my plan of action. to get a BFA in Graphic Design, I'm going to have to take some classes during the work day. Not sure how I'm going to pull that off, but I will cross that bridge at a later date. In the mean time, I will focus on completing requirements that are available in the evening.

Obviously, my post from March 14th was a little optimistic. 2-4 inches of snow fell this morning, closing school and whacking out traffic. Kind of pretty, though! Maybe by April we'll have that much anticipated green.

Ahh yes, once again the joys of eating breakfast on another fun-filled morning before school! Daughter No.2 is finishing up a hearty beakfast of waffles before heading out the door. Today is her first day of testing for potentially gifted students.
Daughter No. 1 has already completed these tests and is attending ELO classes for reading.

I love this shot! Daughter No. 1 is an animal lover. Horses, dogs, whatever. I hope someday she will live on a farm, work as a vet and write books.

Unfortunately, I have no photo for today either! Today, Saturday, I took the girls to the local school carnival. After droping them off, I went Geocaching for a little while. found two caches with Courage then picked up the kids.

No photo for today...I forgot my camera this morning and had class this eve. This is from a couple days ago. A flattering photo of my wife having breakfast with Daughter No. 1 totally amazed!

Got some bad news from Cleveland this afternoon; but hey, let's focus on what lies ahead and not on the things we can't control; there will be other opportunities.

We live on a beautiful, secluded street that is truly awesome once the leaves and flowers make their debut. Spring is quickly approaching, so in about 1 week or so, all the brown will be gone (except for the mud that was once grass!).
