Ouch! My IT Band hurts!

I'm stretching and taking Ibuprofin...but I know it's going to take some time to get this back to normal. Rats!
I've been doing some easy runs, but after about three miles, it tends to flare back up. It's a frustrating process but it will get better.
That's where I am now...

First of all, Happy Birthday two days late!!! I hope you had a great day :-)

As for the ITB...stop running and see a good PT. When I had ITB I tried to self-treat it and it got worse. After a month of this, I went to my ortho doc who gave me a great anti-inflammatory, then went to PT where he massaged it (ouch!) and gave me some great strengthening exercises that I still use today as a prevevtative. He also taped my kneeecap to keep it aligned. This all tokk about 2 months before I was 100%. Good luck!
